About Us

The Plough is ideally located on the village green in the unspoilt village of Cold Aston, named for its’ exposed position on the high wolds.  It is the only pub between the three picturesque Cotswold villages of Cold Aston, Turkdean and Notgrove and benefits from the local inhabitants, many of whom have frequented the pub for decades and have tales to tell!

We are ideally situated for refreshment whilst discovering the Spa town of Cheltenham, home to the National Hunt Festival; the attractive village of Bourton-on-the-Water with it’s many activities; the chocolate box villages of Upper and Lower Slaughter; Stow on the Wold, the highest settlement in the Cotswolds with it’s market town and antique shops or simply walking through the beautiful countryside.

We welcome children who will enjoy the experience and enable others to do so too; we encourage them by providing books and colouring materials to keep them occupied!

Although there are no steps to deter wheel-chairs our doors are quite narrow but we are willing to assist any disabled visitors who are willing to try!
